Inside Amitabh Bachchan’s luxurious Rs. 59.58 crore Mumbai office space

According to recent reports, Bollywood’s megastar, Amitabh Bachchan, purchased new office spaces in Mumbai costing him Rs. 59.58 crores. The deal, cleared on 20th June, has also received a stamp duty of Rs. 3.57 crores.

It’s worth mentioning that Amitabh has bought three office spaces that cost the same amount mentioned earlier. These spaces are located in Mumbai’s Signature Building on Veera Desai Road, Andheri. The numbers of the three purchased units are 2701, 2801, and 2901 which also include three car parking spaces.

According to the documents accessed by a real estate company named, Bachchan acquired property that spans 8,429 sq ft from Veer Savarkar Projects Pvt Ltd. The documents also reveal that the actor paid a hefty Rs. 3.57 crores for the transaction on 20th June.

Amitabh has also purchased property in Ayodhya

On the other hand, it is already known that Bachchan has also bought property in Ayodhya since January this year. The property, named Sarayu is a 7-star mixed-use enclave located in Uttar Pradesh. The construction work for the same is being overlooked by Mumbai’s House of Abhinandan Lodha.

Inside sources reveal that the megastar has acquired a property that spans an area of 10,000 sq ft in total. Other reports also reveal that Big B has paid Rs. 14.5 crores for the same. The Sarayu enclave has a total area of 51 acres.

Said Amitabh at the time of the purchase,

I am looking forward to embarking on this journey with The House of Abhinandan Lodha for The Sarayu in Ayodhya, a city that holds a special place in my heart. The timeless spirituality and cultural richness of Ayodhya have forged an emotional connection that transcends geographical boundaries.

He also said that this journey is into the soul of Ayodhya and it is a place where tradition and modernity co-exist in peace and harmony. He feels all this creates an emotional tapestry that fully resonates with him from time to time.

Amitabh’s next film venture is Kalki 2898 AD

Meanwhile, on the work front, the legendary actor is all set for the release of the much-awaited Kalki 2898 AD. Apart from Bachchan, the other stars in the film are Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Kamal Hassan, and Disha Patni. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin is all set to hit cinema screens on 27th June.

When contacted regarding the latest property purchase, both Bachchan and the property seller refused to give any comments for the same. It’s interesting to note that Amitabh already has four office spaces in the same building in Andheri.

He rented out all of these spaces when he purchased them in August last year in the Oshiwara area of the city. He gets a yearly rent of Rs. 2.07 crore and a security deposit worth Rs. 1.03 crore. With the latest addition of new office spaces, he now owns a total of seven commercial units in the Signature Building.

Not just Amitabh, several Bollywood celebrities own luxurious spaces in the Signature Building in Andheri West. Some of these names are Kartik Aaryan, Sara Ali Khan, and Kajol.

Back in July 2023, Kajol bought a commercial property in this building that is worth Rs. 7.64 crore. On the other hand, Sara Ali Khan and Amrita Singh bought a unit on the 4th floor of the building costing them Rs. 9 crore.

In September 2023, Kartik Aaryan also bought a commercial unit on the 4th floor costing him Rs. 10.09 crore and he has paid a stamp duty of Rs. 47.55 lakh for the same.

It’s safe to say that this area has gained good popularity because of celebrities purchasing properties in Andheri West.
